Customer Assistance Program

Private Lateral Repair Program
The private sewer lateral program allows SD1 to perform work on defective private sewer laterals beneath public roadways that may be contributing to a visible pavement failure, building backup or sewer overflow.

Report an Emergency
Sewer emergencies may include issues such as backups, overland flooding, overflows and collapsed infrastructure. It’s important for customers to report all sewer emergencies to SD1 as soon as possible, so SD1 can investigate the cause.

Request for Final Determination
Created in 2018, Section 1400 of the SD1 Rules and Regulations provides for a formal appeal process for any aggrieved party to dispute any final decision, permit or order of SD1.

Special Meter Refund (Nonresidential)
This form must be used to submit your special meter reading to SD1 no later than the end of November of this current year to be considered for a refund. Failure to submit your reading before the end of November may result in a reduced refund or forfeiture from the program.

Wastewater Service
Wastewater is the flow of used water from homes, businesses, schools, industries and more. Wastewater is funneled into SD1’s sanitary sewer system where it is safely transported to a wastewater treatment plant, cleaned and emptied into the nearest creek or river.
