COVID BANNER

Returning to Work

The Directors have begun implementing plans to return most employees to their offices. Some may wonder why, given recent increases in Kentucky cases of COVID-19, we are returning staff to work at this time. That is a fair question.

The reasons are twofold. First, the increased communication and collaboration that comes with having the full staff back in the office will help SD1 continue to implement new efficiencies and improvements. Our staff has done a fantastic job of not only getting the work done, but thriving during the pandemic. That said, the virtual environment cannot match the value of working alongside coworkers in addressing day-to-day challenges.

The second reason for this change is that we have learned over the past several months that SD1 is well-equipped to keep our workplace safe and our staff healthy. We will continue to maintain the Standard and Enhanced SD1 COVID-19 Protocols that have been in place, as outlined below. A reminder: wear your mask, social distance and wash your hands frequently.

As more staff returns to the office, it will be critical that we all remain committed to these protocols. Beware of COVID fatigue - these protocols will continue to keep our workplace safe if we all follow them.
