The open records request form asks if the purpose of the request is commercial or non-commercial. What does this mean?

A commercial request is defined as “all or part of the records requested will be used directly, in any form, for sale, resale, solicitation, rent, lease of a service, or any use by which the user expects a profit either through commission, salary or fee.”

A non-commercial request is defined as “no part of the records requested will be used directly, in any form, for sale, resale, solicitation, rent, lease of a service, or any use by which the user expects a profit either through commission, salary or fee.”
