FORT WRIGHT, KY - The Sanitation District No. 1 (SD1) Industrial Pretreatment team recently completed a Pretreatment Compliance Inspection by the Kentucky Division of Water with no findings, meaning the program met all regulatory requirements with no areas needing improvement.
The team works tirelessly to regulate 55 industrial users, protecting our SD1's treatment plants and infrastructure, and ensuring regulatory compliance. They also monitor and permit nearly 400 restaurants, making sure grease waste is properly managed to prevent blockages and backups downstream.
“Huge thanks to the Pretreatment Team for everything they do every day to keep our system running smoothly and our community protected,” said SD1 Laboratory & Pretreatment Manager Sarah Griffith.
