The following action items passed by majority vote during the regular meeting of the Sanitation District No. 1 Board of Directors held Tuesday, June 21, 2022.
- Acceptance of the May 17, 2022 minutes of the SD1 Board of Directors meeting.
- Awarded a contract for Litton Lane Pump Station Improvements to Larry Smith Inc., in the amount submitted with its bid ($457,000).
- Awarded a contract for the Newport Shopping Center Sanitary Sewer Upsize project to AECOM in the amount submitted with its bid ($109,987).
- Reservation of Capacity. Five new requests for reservation of sanitary sewer capacity were approved by the SD1 Board of Directors.
- Approved a Storm Water Public Cost-Share Program request from the City of Dayton at Kenton Street and 4th Avenue for a total contribution by SD1 of $60,700.
- Approved the Fiscal Year 2023 Board of Directors' regular meeting schedule and working group meeting schedules.
- Elections for Fiscal Year 2023 Board executive positions were held during the meeting. The following Board members were reelected to a one-year term: Bob Boswell, President; Rick Wessels, Vice President; Robert Horine, Secretary and Katie Nolan, Treasurer.

About SD1
SD1 is responsible for the collection and treatment of northern Kentucky’s wastewater and also serves as the regional storm water management agency. SD1 is the second largest public sewer utility in Kentucky, serving more than 339,000 residents throughout Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties. SD1 maintains approximately 1,685 miles of sanitary-sewer system pipeline, 125 wastewater pumping stations, 15 flood pump stations, six package treatment plants, three major wastewater treatment plants, 433 miles of storm-sewer system and 32,300 storm-sewer structures.
