The following action items passed by majority vote during the regular meeting of the Sanitation District No.1 Board of Directors held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
- Acceptance of the October 21, 2025, SD1 Board of Directors regular meeting minutes.
- Awarded a contract for the construction of the Grant Street Storm Sewer Realignment to the low bidder, Rector Excavating, at the unit prices submitted with their bid for a total of $173,612.50.
- Awarded the professional services task for the Oliver Road Sanitary Sewer Upsize to the proposer whose proposal is the best value for the District, Cardinal Engineering, for the costs submitted in their proposal of $264,331.32.
- Awarded a contract for the installation of manholes and pipes under the parking lot of the car wash in Newport as part of the Monmouth St., Newport Sanitary Sewer Upsizing to Jefferson Contracting for their quoted price of $180,926.00.
- Awarded a contract for the Newport Shopping Center Sewer Replacement to Howell Contractors, at the unit prices submitted with their best and final offer for a total of $4,051,976.00 as well as a 25% construction contingency before further board approval is needed.
- Approved seven new requests for reservation of sanitary sewer capacity.
- Approved the Stormwater Public Cost-Share Program with the City of Elsmere located at Swan Circle and Stallworth for a total SD1 cost of $209,505.00 and Echo Hills Stormwater Improvements, Campbell County for a total SD1 cost of $72,021.02.
