SD1’s Sewer Overflow Response Plan was approved by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Kentucky’s Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet on May 14, 2008. This plan is an operational document that includes emergency response activities to contain, mitigate and clean residuals from overflows. It also addresses preventive measures taken as part of the routine maintenance procedures conducted by SD1.
